July 18, 2010, 4:36 pm
Question
i have a desktop pc with xp os,a voip phone adaptor, a lan router with one ethernet port. how can i browse and use the adaptor simulataneously
Answer
When using VoIP you cannot use any other device other then the VoIP device connected directly from it's WAN port to the Broadband modem due to the priority of the streaming packets needed to implement voice without delay, there are usually supplied Ethernet ports on the device, which from them you can branch out other routers/switches/hubs or just use a ethernet connection.
